DUPONT® TEFLON™ PROTECTOR 

DuPont® Teflon™ can be a worthwhile investment to extend the life of your carpeting and make maintenance less cumbersome.  Fiber protection such as DuPont® Teflon™ can put the finishing touch on a thorough, complete cleaning.

Carpet mills apply a coating of protectant during manufacturing, but it usually doesn’t last the life of the carpet.  High temperatures from steam cleaning and cleaning agents with optical brighteners can remove the coating.  Normal walk traffic, vacuuming, and daily wear can all help erode some of the factory treatment as well.

DuPont® Teflon™ treatment surrounds each carpet fiber with an “invisible shield.”  It ensures that most household food and drink spills bead up for quicker, easier cleanup and the ability of soil to stick or cling to the carpet is greatly reduced.  That makes vacuuming and maintenance more efficient.

You can attain long lasting results from DuPont® Teflon™ application, but it is recommended that it be reapplied after 2-3 steam cleanings.  Enhanced protection is possible if treatment is applied at each steam cleaning.
