FIRE DAMAGE RESTORATION

Your home has been damaged by fire.  What do you do now??  Call Master Care Restoration Company, an IICRC* Smoke and Fire Damage Restoration certified firm.  We will advise you on how to stop further loss.  And remember to call your insurance company.

Our main goal is to return your home or business and contents back to pre-loss condition in a timely manner for a reasonable cost with minimal disruption.  We prefer our customers understand each step in the restoration process while providing you with an estimated recovery timeline.  Most of your contents can be restored in days and weeks, not months.  All of our work is performed in your home or in our new 15,000 square foot facility.  There are no 3rd or 4th party subcontractors handling your prized possessions.  We are in total control from start to finish.

Remember, restoring a fire loss requires special training and knowledge.  Some companies claim to handle fire restoration:  protect yourself and your belongings—verify their qualifications.  They should possess IICRC* certification.

Some helpful hints if you ever encounter an unfortunate fire loss:

DO:

  • Keep children, the elderly, individuals with asthma, and pets away from the affected area(s).

  • Open windows for ventilation, if outside conditions allow.

  • Apply petroleum jelly or WD-40 to all chrome such as faucets, fixtures, and frames.

  • Wash leaves of all plants (both sides) with water.

  • Brush-vacuum loose smoke particles from upholstery, draperies, and carpeting.

  • Empty refrigerators and freezers if electricity is off and prop open the doors.

  • Gloves and respirators should be worn when touching or moving contaminated items, as char and soot are carcinogenic.

DON’T:

  • Wipe or attempt to wash fire residues from walls, ceilings, or other absorbent surfaces.

  • Turn on or use radios, televisions, stereos, computer equipment or appliances until they have been cleaned and checked (due to possible water damage).

  • Use carpeting or upholstered furniture impacted by heavy smoke residues, soot, or debris.

REMEMBER, you do have a choice:

Use a restoration company you feel is properly qualified to handle your situation.  This may or may not be who your insurance company “recommends”.
